Brigitte Legrand is an expressive mixed media painter whose work explores
emotion, memory, nature, and spirituality. Bridging
tradition and contemporary expressive landscape painting, her work explores
atmosphere, texture, memory, and the poetic language of nature.
As a child, a simple sheet of paper became her refuge — a quiet space where
she could express emotions and find a sense of peace. She says:
“Creating opened worlds of imagination, freedom, and dreams. My love of
nature — especially the sea and waves — has been deeply shaped by my family
roots in Normandy and Corsica.”
Teaching became a way to remain close to creativity while sharing my passion with others. Over time, it also helped me understand that art is not about performance, but about presence.
Brigitte Legrand holds a Master’s degree in Art History from the University
of Besançon and earned the prestigious French Agrégation in Visual Arts. She
worked for more than 25 years as an art teacher, guiding and inspiring
thousands of students.
Through years of teaching, workshops, and artistic practice, she has
developed an approach that helps people reconnect with their creative nature.
She now guides nature lovers in painting soulful and expressive landscapes —
even those who believe they are “not creative.”
Nature is my greatest source of inspiration. From the wide skies of Normandy to the gentle landscapes of Franche-Comté, I'am endlessly moved by clouds, wind, rain, shifting light, and the rhythm of oceans and waves. These elements shape my inner landscapes as much as my paintings.
