Artist statement

What lies behind or in front of us is of little importance compared to what we have within us.” R. W. Emerson

I paint from an inner listening.
A quiet voice that waited patiently, until I chose to slow down and hear it.
This voice guides my gestures, my choices, my way of being in the world.
It transforms me as much as it transforms the canvas.

I believe we are all born to create.
Within us live beauty, energy and invisible landscapes.
My work is an offering, a way of making visible what cannot be seen.

I paint slowly, intuitively, with simplicity.
Layer after layer, time leaves its trace.
I paint what I lack, and what I long for:
calm, light, presence.

Each painting is an inner landscape.
An impression.
An emotion.
A space where beauty invites us to pause, breathe, and feel alive.

My paintings are not objects.
They are refuges.
Soft lights for lovers of sky, earth and quiet beauty.
They carry serenity, hope and peace.

I believe art can heal, soothe and uplift.
I believe it is time to return to the poetry of simple, essential things.
I invite nature into the home —
and slowness into everyday life.

Welcome to my world.
Sit back.
Breathe in.
Let the light in.
