I am a reconverting artist who hadn't touched a brush or pencil for years. When I discovered the Laly Mille site and its understanding gentleness, its simplicity and the diversity and magic of its productions immediately attracted me. In his course on “Mini Abstracts”, Laly advises starting with small formats, I followed his advice and made series of 13 x 13 cm. And I couldn't stop.
This simple device gave me new life and a taste for painting and mixed media. I very quickly felt the need to face these little squares of paper in the evening after work. To close the door and immerse myself in the experience. Glue the torn papers, mix the colors, the inks and then? and then shapes emerge, landscapes, seascapes, waterfalls, mountains, fjords, a sunset… That is not the question but
Find balance,
Find the light,
Explore texture. And then by seeking the sensations, stop before it is too late.
