the Islands, between mist and light collection

Light on the waves

the movement that creates substance

This collection was a surprise for me —
an inner journey, a rediscovery.

I love this series because it is made of raw emotion, without description.
Each island is a world in itself, shaped by light and waves. A reunion with an inner world, always in motion.

I created this collection in small series of four pieces at a time. I loved this process, which felt like a form of meditation. I placed and glued torn paper, fragments of text, pieces of colored paper. I slowly assembled these small worlds, then let the ink and pastels, the acrylic washes and the doodles, unfold freely.

During the day, the outside world called me —work and home, family demands. And every evening, my inner world waited patiently for me. I closed the door.

In the quiet darkness of my studio, under the electric halo, I created. I had the feeling of being guided. Each choice led to an event, and little by little, things came together naturally. Unexpectedly, landscapes reminiscent of the sea emerged. Waves and suns, rocks and horizons.

Each island is a world in itself, shaped by light and waves —an encounter with an inner world in motion.

Explore these soft textures and bluish washes, where matter becomes emotion.
