When creativity is a way of living

When creativity is a way of living

Creativity is part of human nature. Imagining and inventing, dreaming, expressing emotions. Nature remains my inspiration and my muse. I loved playing with cyanotypes: first, choosing plants from the garden and placing them on the prepared paper. Then, watching the sunlight impress the plants on the paper in just a few minutes. Then dip the paper in water and watch those white silhouettes appear alongside the Prussian blue.  What a fascinating process of simplicity and beauty.

But since then, they had been stored in a box. So I decided to give them a second life. Using pastels and inks, I created the ethereal atmosphere befitting these masterpieces of nature.

And the “In Memory of Anna” collection was born. Anna Atkins is the famous Victorian scientist who was the first woman to publish a book of photographs. Her cyanotype sheets have the power to successfully blend science and art, poetry and nature. Anna has transcended tradition, inspiring people to find their own way and express themselves poetically. And even today, her cyanotypes move us with their composition.

I created this collection as an invitation to stop and breathe deeply, to meditate and contemplate.

My works reflect my emotions and are created to inspire. To remind the world of its beauty.
