A wild rose for you
Among my various collections, this one is special because I started it thinking of a friend who lives a long way away and who, despite everything, supported me so much during my divorce and after my burnout. It was for her, who was filled with wisdom and faith, that I created my first rose and gave it to her. Then it became a collection in its own right.
Each of her roses bears a feminine name that represents feminine strength and fragility. For me, these names from the past evoke the transmission and union between women.
Let's not underestimate the beauty of a friendship that lifts us up and turns us towards the essential.

I was inspired by poetry. I loved pasting and tearing up extracts from poems, old maps, texts and definitions. Even if you have to get very close to find the clues, these successive layers are the substrate of my work, they give it all its strength. Its meaning.
I cut out images of flowers from old books on gardening, and I really enjoyed taking these images out of the books and giving them new life. I paint over them to give them thickness, I change the colors, I scribble texts with Posca or pencil.
I love mixing lots of techniques : coffee, pastels, felt-tip pens, watercolors, inks, sometimes stamps, anything is possible.
These paintings have been created with the aim of capturing the almost unreal beauty of these gorgeous flowers. These pieces are absolutly exquisite and filled with subtle details.
