A new studio

A new studio

Working every day in the same room to paint, but also to photograph and film, edit and publish, search for new ideas, write, be present on social media, and improve my website, all requires a great deal of organization and management of time and equipment.
Most of my paintings were stacked on top of each other in a corner of the room. So my husband cleverly suggested a very practical system for hanging them on the walls. He sawed some battens and drilled small holes in them to fix dowels at regular intervals. The battens were then fixed to the wall and all I had to do was hang my paintings on them and move them around as I wished. I also added some very practical shelves for drying small works in progress.

Not only did I regain floor space, but my walls are now covered with my paintings, just like in a gallery. It's very important to have your current collections in front of you to maintain unity and cohesion while offering several variations in perspective and composition. It's like seeing your thoughts unfold on your walls !

Love
